The vision which we share grows out of our understanding of what we are called to do as Christ’s Church. What we are called to do is explained on the "What We Do" page.

We are inspired, first and foremost, to be a worshiping community. We seek to worship God, not in a formalistic or perfunctory way, but fervently, in spirit and in truth, through the traditional forms of Orthodox worship.

We are inspired, secondly, to grow spiritually. It is not enough to be a Christian in name only. It is not enough to be casually religious or "spiritual" people. We want changed lives. We seek to be disciples of Christ, followers of His, in daily life, distinguished by the way we live and our devotion to Him.

We are inspired, thirdly, to share His love with each other and with everyone we meet. Sharing His love with each other means real fellowship – not casual, superficial friendliness –, but a deep, authentic community of people who love each other enough share life joys and hurts together, openly, honestly and deeply.

Sharing His love with everyone we meet means outreach, a willingness to be there for others, to meet them where they are, and as we are able, to be of service to them, all in the name of Christ.

Maybe vision statements are trendy; maybe not. Either way, we need to know who we are and what we’re all about. And it is important that we are able to say that in a few words so that we can keep our vision clearly before our eyes.
